Skinnytaste Fast and Slow Cookbook | Review

If you browse your Facebook feed, you are sure to have noticed how recipes by Skinnytaste are shared and reposted a ton.  You may also be a fan of the original blog by Skinnytaste.  I got a chance to check out a copy of the Skinnytaste Fast and Slow Cookbook and I couldn't be more excited to share it with you.

{This post includes affiliate links.  Affiliate links are where I make a portion of sales from links used, which helps keep Beauty Freckled going.  Thanks for your support!}

The cookbook is broken into these sections: Healthy Mornings; Chilis, Soups and Stews; One Bowl Meals; Zoodles, Squashta, Pasta, and Sauce; Taco Night; Poultry Mains; Meat Lover Mains; Fish and Seafood Mains; Meatless Mains; On the Side; and The Sweeter Side.

The whole idea behind the cookbook is that the recipes are ones you can either make FAST (like on a weeknight or in a pinch) or in a SLOW cooker (which most still don't take long to dump in there).  Not to mention, all these recipes are healthy since that is the brain child behind Skinnytaste - big on flavor, not on your hips.

Our family made the following recipes from Skinnytaste Fast and Slow:

Slow Cooker Chicken Burrito Bowls
My husband is a huge fan of Mexican food...to the extent that eating Chipotle doesn't scare him in the least, even after all of their negative experiences lately.  So when he said he was craving a burrito bowl, I knew just the ticket!

Slow Cooker Beef Ragu with Pappardelle
When my husband thumbed through the book, he picked this recipe as once he was especially interested in.

Slow Cooker Hamburger Stroganoff (Hamburger Helper dupe)
Early in our living together days, we usted to make Hamburger Helper a lot.  It was quick, it was easy, and it was cheap.  Well let me tell you, this was just as easy to dump in the crock pot, didn't cost a ton, and was a hundred times more delish.  Plus it doesn't have all the cruddy additives in it.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Lettuce Wraps
Give my husband anything super spicy and he's in heaven, so this was one we had to try out too.  We put them on flour taco shells instead of lettuce leaves, and they still were great.  This is the great thing how you can customize any recipe in this book.

The Skinnytaste Fast and Slow Cookbook is simply amazing and I can't wait to keep cooking my way through it.  All of the recipes we tried were definite keepers, and none of them tasted "skinny" or like we were missing out.  We will definitely be working our way through this, cooking up a storm.  I plan on getting her first cookbook, The Skinnytaste Cookbook: Light on Calories, Big on Flavor, as well.  I will certainly update the blog on that one as well.

I also wanted to mention, there are a good number of vegetarian recipes in here.  I am not a huge meat eater and found these to be very adaptable as well.  For example, for the burrito bowls, I made the meat for my husband but kept mine strictly veggies.  Keep that in mind if you are vegetarian/vegan and make each recipe your own!

A huge thank you to Skinnytaste for sharing a copy of your new cookbook with me.  I can't wait to see what you come up with next!  Check out Skinnytaste's cookbooks on Amazon here and on their blog here.

Disclosure:  Skinnytaste sent me a copy of Skinnytaste Fast and Slow free of charge for my honest review.  I was not otherwise compensated, paid, etc to state my opinions or say nice things.  All my reviews are 100% honest and the above opinions are solely my own.

L.A. Girl Pro Coverage Liquid Foundation | Review & Wear Test

Everyone and their mom has been talking about the L.A. Girl Pro Coverage Foundation.  Any surprised I had to try it?

L.A. Girl Pro Coverage Liquid Foundation
Facts from the L.A. Girl site:
PRO.coverage high-definition long wear illuminating liquid foundation is ideal for a flawless looking, full coverage finish. Lightweight formula is comfortable for all day wear. Paraben free formula with added anti-oxidants helps hydrate and improve the skin's appearance. Now available to extend the color range even further, an innovative white foundation mixer to adjust and customize color.

Price: $7.17 [Amazon]
Amount: 0.95 Fluid Ounce
Shades: 16 Shades [too many to not have many darker shades though, boo]

So lets state the obvious and get that out of the way - the L.A. Girl Pro Coverage Foundation packaging is a dupe for the Makeup Forever HD and Ultra HD bottle.  I have the regular Makeup Forever HD but never tried the Ultra HD since I heard it wasn't great for oily skin types.  Both are supposed to give a pro flawless look, and the packaging is dead on for a dupe.  I'm not sure if the L.A. Girl is really supposed to be a 100% formula dupe, but both give a satin finish (neither matte nor dewy).  L.A. Girl also has skincare benefits built in to hydrate and improve skin's appearance.  It is also paraben free (amazing).

The line also has a White toned color which I think is pretty cool.  You can use it like the Cover FX drops to lighten a foundation you have which might be too dark.  Great for those foundations you buy online or in bad store lighting.  I actually might pick this up too since I have a lot of foundations in a summer and winter shade and see how it works!

The shade in Light is dead-on for me, so if you know you're in my shade range (NC 20 - as per usual, see all my other comparisons below) try this one out.  I used the Real Techniques Stippling Brush to apply this and it went on beautifully.  It's not fully dewy, but I would call it more of a satin finish and is medium coverage that's buildable.  I prefer a medium coverage with a satin finish so this foundation is perfect for me!

L.A. Girl Pro Foundation - Light
Wear Test:  I wore this for at least six to eight hours each time I tested it and it really held its weight.  It wasn't breaking down a lot and I didn't look greasy even without primer or setting spray.  This is definitely one of my top drugstore foundations now and has found its way into my eDiva foundation Drawer (which holds my faves and go-to's).  Powders I tried with it so far are the Maybelline Better Skin and Laura Mercier Loose Translucent Powder.

L.A. Girl Pro Foundation - Light
I also have the L.A. Girl Pro Concealer which is super amazing but I need to get it in a lighter shade.

e.l.f. Studio Flawless Finish Foundation SPF 15 | Foundation Review

Every beauty guru raves about the e.l.f. Flawless Finish Foundation and how it really does give a super flawless finish.  Well of course I had to check it out!  The first color I got, Buff, was too dark for me and looked a bit muddy, so I ordered the lighter shade, Sand, at Target and it's much more my winter shade {see my shade comparisons below}.

e.l.f. Flawless Finish Foundation SPF 15
From the e.l.f. site:
This full-coverage and oil-free formula blends in naturally for a beautiful semi-matte finish.
The foundation includes UVA/UVB SPF 15 sun protection to protect your skin.
Price: $6 [Target]
Amount: 0.68 ounces
Shades: 10 on e.l.f. website [6 at Target]
SPF: 15

This foundation reminded me a lot of the Rimmel 25H Foundation [see my full review here] in that it felt super heavy and weird at first before I learned you need to use a super light hand with it.  It's pretty full coverage right from the get go and easily gets overdone.

I found this is best applied with a damp beautyblender or Real Techniques sponge or even your fingers.  Both ways are much preferable over a brush (I used a Real Techniques foundation brush and didn't like it every time I applied it with that).

e.l.f. Studio Flawless Finish Foundation
Average drugstore foundations usually come with 1 fluid once.  For $6 you're getting a little bit less foundation than you normally would get, however, that's a huge deal because many drugstore foundations can run $8 upwards of $13.  Considering that, the price point isn't terrible.

e.l.f. Studio Flawless Finish Foundation

Wear Test:
I wore this for five to eight hours each time and I enjoyed the way it looked a lot.  I think it wore down nicely but wasn't breaking up or making me super oily.  The only dislike was that its a heavier feeling foundation - in that I can feel it on my skin more than other foundations.  The look of it makes up for that though and I will be keeping these around!

Rimmel Long Lasting Finish 25H Foundation with Comfort Serum

Rimmel is one of those brands that has a few cult classics you constantly hear about but otherwise sometimes gets forgotten.  After hearing about this drugstore foundation forever now, I knew I had to try it out!
Instant perfect coverage that feels extra comfortable and lasts all day
- Blends flawlessly, seamlessly, instantly and easily into the skin
- Sweat, heat, humidity and transfer proof for up to 25 hours

Price: $4.79 @ Target
Amount: 1 fluid ounce / 30 ml
Shades: 7 Shades

I bought this foundation in 100 Ivory and 200 Nude Beige.  I bought Nude Beige first, but it's definitely more my summer color so I bought Ivory too since I thought this was going to be a keeper.  Ivory is perfect for my winter shade {see shade comparisons below}.

Rimmel 25H Foundation in 100 Ivory, nothing else
After wearing this quite a few times in both shades, I can say I really like it!  I've learned that you need to use a light hand with it, because it's full coverage right from the get-go.  Two coats is really not necessary with this foundation and leads to looking over the top and way too much, in my opinion.

The claims of the foundation being sweat, heat, and humidity proof are pretty dead on.  I wore this on day we were on vacation in Virginia and wasn't expecting the day to be as hot as it turned out to be, and this stuff stayed put!  No running or dripping off.

I've tried this with a few different powders, including the Rimmel Stay Matte and they all look great.

The only downside is that you definitely will feel this on your face.  It's not heavy or pore-clogging, but not one of those ones where it feels super natural and like nothing either.  So if that bothers you, then this might not be a foundation for you.  It's not noticeably to bother me though.  There are also only seven shades, and not many for my darker skinned beauties, so that's a big bummer.

Overall, great foundation, makes everything look super flawless!  If you love Revlon ColorStay, check out Rimmel Long Lasting Finish 25H foundation!

Simple Addiction | Outfit in a Box

Simple Addiction is a website that offers clothing for adults and kids, home goods, as well as accessories like jewelry and shoes.

I got a chance to try out their Outfit in a Box, which sends you three pieces all coordinated to match and be worn together.  Some outfits include two tops and leggings, while others have a top, legging, and an accessory like a piece of jewelry or scarf.  There are many styles and prints to choose from, and there is sure to be one for everyone's sense of style.

If you are terrible at pairing outfits like I am, the fact that you can get a complete outfit already paired and matched is fantastic.  On top of that, it comes right to your door!  I tend to pair basic boring solids and not go to much out of my comfort zone with colors or prints, so Outfit in a Box is a great service for me.

I chose the Millie Outfit which originally retails for $44.99 but was on sale for $32.99.  The Millie includes a 3/4 sleeve camo top, army green leggings, and a sparkly necklace.

The Millie - Top, Leggings, AND Necklace

The camo top reminds me of the Randy T from LuLaRoe in the buttery leggings material and the Simple Addiction leggings are almost a dupe for the LuLaRoe leggings too!  So if you love the buttery softness of LuLaRoe but not the price tag, check these out!  Both pieces are so super comfy and the army green is totally up my ally!

New outfits for Outfit in a Box are introduced every Saturday around 7:30am.  They're listed for 2 days, or until sold out.

The Millie Outfit
Simple Addiction is offering my readers 15% off by using the discount code is SARAH15.  This is a great opportunity to try them out and get a discount off their already low prices!

Disclaimer: Simple Addiction sent me an Outfit in a Box to try out for review purposes.  I was not otherwise compensated or paid to write this post or to give them a positive review.  100% honesty...as always.

Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk | Skincare Sunday

Welcome back to Skincare Sunday!  Since I have been loving all the Soap and Glory products I have been trying recently.  After how much I loved the Vitamin C cleanser [read my full review here], I thought I would pick up the Peaches and Clean version to try it out.

Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean Deep Cleansing Milk
A four-in-one deep cleansing milk
PEACHES AND CLEAN™ Deep Cleansing Milk features a special clogged-pore formula with PEACH & GOJUICE™ extracts and an OXYGINSENG™ daily skin detox which will help to purify and clarify, invigorate, soften skin, and melt away makeup, dirt, and impurities for a smooth, luminous complexion.

Price: $10.99 [Target - goes on sale, can use 5% Red Card discount]
Product Amount: 11.8 oz

The scent is amazing - like fresh Peaches with a bit of mint.  It wakes up my face up with it's minty scent and light refreshing feel on the face.  The packaging is great too - love the pump.  I keep it in my shower and it's so easy to use - just squirt a few pumps into my hands and wash.

The formula doesn't lather up at all.  I've used cleansers that don't get full-on frothy like the Origins Checks and Balances Face Wash [read my full review here] or the Clean and Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser but this one is different in that it stays the same milky texture you see in the bottle.  I don't think I've ever used a milk cleanser before, so maybe I just didn't know what to expect texture wise.

Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean Cleansing Milk

One of the claims is that it melts off makeup.  I don't think it does a better job than any other face wash, but it still feels nice at the end of the day and makes my face feel buttery smooth.

The product amount for the price is also really good.  You get about twice the amount of an average drugstore price which makes it the same or less than the amount per ounce.

Overall, as much as I loved the refreshing scent and awesome packaging, I will be sticking with the Vitamin C cleanser from now on just because I personally like a deeper clean.  This product would be great for people with skin more on the normal to dry side or sensitive skin as it isn't as harsh as most cleansers and the smell is amazing

Soap and Glory Face Soap and Clarity 3-in-1 Daily Vitamin C Facial Wash

I've been working my way through the whole Soap and Glory line since they re-released into Target.  I remember when they were in Target years ago, then pulled out to go into Sephora.  The price point when they were in Sephora was a bit high for me, but with their return to Target, I've been scooping everything up!  Be on the look out for sales too!

One of my first purchases was the Face Soap and Clarity 3-in-1 Vitamin C Wash.  Let's take a look!

Soap and Glory Face Soap and Clarity 3-in-1 Daily Vitamin C Facial Wash
From Soap and Glory's site:
FACE SOAP AND CLARITY™ 3-in-1 Daily Detox Vitamin C Facial Wash smoothes and purifies for super clean, fresh and bright skin. With complexion-friendly, non-drying, easy-rinse ingredients including natural SUPERFRUIT™ YUZU and ULTRA-SOFT SCRUB-BEADS, this high-tech foaming facial wash is a multitasking miracle.
Instructions for Use: CLEAN UP WELL: Squeeze a grape sized measure of this fabulous Face Soap And Clarity™ onto damp skin, rub into a lather, then rinse. Follow with eye cream, moisturizer, and spot treatment if needed.

Price: $12.00 [Target]
Product Amount: 11.8 fluid ounces // 350 ml

This face wash is one of the best face washes I have ever tried!  The slightly citrus scent is so light and refreshing and your face feels so awake after you wash and rinse it.  You only need a tiny dime sized amount to do your whole face and neck.

The microbeads aren't too much, but definitely do their job without overdoing it.  They are eco friendly as well, being made of wax instead of plastic, which I love.  No one wants to hurt Mother Earth at the expense of clean skin.  Plus, the microbeads are much softer and gentler on the skin.

While $12 may seem expensive for a face wash, you do get 11.9 fluid ounces which is over two times what you get in a normal drugstore face wash.  An average face wash is $6-8 anyhow, so I think the price point is great for what you are getting.  With a bigger bottle, you also won't run out as fast.

Definitely check out the Soap and Glory line, especially the 3-in-1 Vitamin C Facial Wash.  I think it would be great for all skin types and will leave you clean without being overdried.

After loving this wash so much I tried the Peaches and Clean Face Wash as well because of it's claims to melt off makeup and deep clean pores.  That review will be up next on Skincare Sunday!

Ju-Ju-Be B.F.F. in Charcoal Roses | Diaper Bag Review

You all know I loved my Skip Hop Duo Double {read my full diaper bag review here and my "What's in My Diaper Bag" here}, but as Baby Beauty got bigger and wasn't needing as much, we decided to downsize to something more compact.  I also wanted something easy to carry, and easy to clean.  Enter: the JuJuBe B.F.F.  Being able to use backpack straps and/or a messenger strap PLUS the ability to machine wash it?  I was SOLD!

Ju-Ju-Be BFF in Charcoal Roses

Stats from Ju-Ju-Be's website:
This bag will be your BFF. It will also make you new BFFs because all the other ladies will want to be your friend. It might make your current BFF a little jealous, but that’s OK because she wasn’t all that good of a friend anyway.
  • Front mommy pocket holds keys (stretch key fob) and sunglasses (cleans lenses too!) with plenty of room for more!
  • Memory foam changing pad included ... nice 'n comfy, super cushy.
  • Quick reach pocket for cell phone.
  • 2 exterior insulated bottle pockets … with Thinsulate by 3M. Keep it warm? Keep it cold? Sure!
  • Unique main zipper closure system makes for easy access.
  • Picture pocket to keep photos handy when bragging to friends.
  • Detachable and adjustable messenger strap has removable memory foam shoulder pad & can be shortened to tote strap length.
  • Optional shoulder straps ... so versatile!
  • Inside organization includes 4 gusseted pockets, 3 zippered pockets & lots of wide open space!
  • Back pocket works great for diapers and wipes organization.
  • Structured bottom with luggage feet.
  • Teflon™ fabric protector … helps repel stains.
  • Agion® treatment protects the liner by inhibiting the growth of odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew.
  • Crumb Drains ... bye-bye mess!
  • Metal Hardware ... we don't trust any of the cheap plastic stuff.
  • Light-Colored Linings ... you can actually see what's inside; it's not just a big black hole in there.
  • Machine Washable ... air dry.

Ju-Ju-Be B.F.F. in Charcoal Roses

The B.F.F. is amazing!  It's the perfect size for what we need right now, and I could still fit more in.  You could easily use this for a baby, even with bottles and formula, change if clothes, and all those other emergency 'just in case' items baby needs.  I don't even use the back two zippered pockets inside, however, I could put what I have in the interior bottle pockets in those and still have room for more cups or bottles.  As an overpacker, I always thought I needed a bigger bag but with the right organization and all the pockets in the BFF, this bag could even work for more than one child.  I love all the interior pockets for organizing, I just wish the picture holders were another big zip pocket (like the one below them) or two smaller zip pockets for added storage.

Ju-Ju-Be B.F.F. inside and pockets

I love, love, love the backpack straps!  This was my major reason for getting this bag.  It comes with a messenger strap as well so you can change up how you carry it.  The straps are super padded and so comfortable.  I always keep the backpack straps on and the messenger strap inside folded up in case I want to ever change it up.  I love the handle on top too - it's easy to grab when you're trying to get out of a booth at a restaurant or wherever - just grab and go!

Ju-Ju-Be B.F.F. Backpack Straps
The other game changer for me was this bag is fully machine washable - not just spot clean as most diaper bags are.  I have washed it probably 8 or 10 times and it still looks brand new!  Throw it in the wash with some delicate detergent on your machine's delicate cycle and hang to dry - it's as easy as that!  It does take 12-24 hours to dry, so I do it during the week when I know we are home and won't need it ASAP.  The changing pad takes the longest to dry so sometimes I repack the bag and leave that part at home.  It does include crumb drains so if your bag just needs a good shake out but not a wash you don't need to take everything out - just push the ickiness through the vented holes.

Ju-Ju-Be B.F.F. Mommy Pocket with Felt Sunglasses Case
The details on this bag are much better quality than most bags.  The all metal hardware doesn't break and includes little rhinestones (that Ju-Ju-Be replaces if lost!) on each one and it has sturdy zippers that don't get all out of whack.  The gussets on the pockets let them open wide enough so you can see everything without it all falling out.  The outside bottle pockets stretch to the size of what you put in there and are insulated.  All the stitching is super strong and the fabrics are top notch quality.  This bag is going to last you a long while.

My iPhone 6s does fit in the pocket but won't zip (it might be because of my LifeProof case) but I don't always bring my phone with me if Hubby has his.  This felt lined pocket is great for cameras, sunglasses, or any other little items you want to grab fast. My phone does fit easily in the mommy pocket.

You can find Ju-Ju-Be Diaper Bags, organizers, and accessories on their website or at BuyBuyBaby.

I will do a Ju-Ju-Be B.F.F. packing and 'What's In My Diaper Bag' post again so you can see how I pack this bag, but I can fit everything I had in my Skip Hop Duo Double in here.  This is definitely usable for two kiddos!  It hold a LOT more than I thought it would.  I also have a Toddler Restaurant Busy Bag post coming up using the Ju-Ju-Be Be Quick in Charcoal Roses.  Stay tuned!

Esqido Lashes and Companion Glue

Lately I've been wanting to use falsies more for special occasions and although I have my drugstore go-to's, I was dying to try some mink lashes, which I've seen everywhere lately.

Esqido was nice enough to send me their ESQIDO Mink Lashes and their ESQIDO eyelash glue to try out!

Esqido Lashes in Oh so Sweet and Companion Lash Glue

Let's review the facts from the Esqido Mink Lashes:
- Esqido lashes can be worn upwards of 25 times vs 3-4 for drugstore falsies
- Soft cotton band that's flexible
- Hypoallergenic
- Cruelty Free!  Lashes are made using hair that the minks have already shed, no animals harmed.
- Companion Lash Glue: strong all day hold, formulated for mink lashes and latex-free, it's a gentle mixture that extends the life of your lashes. With a fine tip wand, you'll be able to apply the right amount of glue to your false lashes, every time. Suitable for any type of false eyelashes.

I normally use Ardell lashes which are only good for about two to three uses.  I always wondered could I really justify buying lashes for $32 when $3 lashes served their purpose?Well my friends, the lashes from Esqido are totally worth it!  Considering you can get at least 25 (and probably more if you take care of them) uses out of the Esqido lashes, that makes them no more expensive than Ardelld per use (it works out to about a dollar a use on both brands).

The Oh So Sweet lash style was perfect for me.  It added enough drama to make my eyes stand out without looking overboard.  They are super light and the band was so comfortable that I actually forgot I was wearing them!  The quality of the actual lashes is outrageously good.  They look like natural lashes, not with the high sheen drugstore lashes tend to have.

I did need to trim a tiny bit off the inner corner but I need to do that with all lashes since they tend to poke me in the tear duct for some reason.

Their Companion Lash Glue is no joke - the lashes were almost hard to get off at the end of the day because the glue was that good.  Sometimes Duo lash glue lifts up a little in spots and I worry if I don't keep it in my purse the track might just lift right off.

My only wish was they wouldn't glue the lashes down to the packaging as much because they were a but hard to remove, but that's such a minor detail.  I love the packing and that I can reuse it to store them.  The boxes would also stack nicely if you had multiple pairs (a girl can dream, right?).  I always manage to mangle the plastic drugstore packaging and they aren't ideal for storage so then what?  My dog loves to hunt bugs and I always worry she might mistake my lashes for spiders or something ☺️.

Take the Esqido Lash Quiz to discover your personality style!

Thank you to Esqido for supplying me with the Oh So Sweet Lashes and Companion Lash Glue!

Disclaimer: Esqido was kind enough to send me samples of their products for review purposes.  I wasn't otherwise compensated to write this review, nor was I paid for a positive review.  All reviews are 100% honest.  Always.

CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation | Foundation Review

This is a pretty raved about foundation for many in the beauty community so I decided to check it out.  I've already tried the CoverGirl Outlast Stay Luminous [read my full review here], so I was hoping the 3-in-1 would be a more matte version for my combo skin self.  Read on for more...

CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation
Claims from CoverGirl.com:
All-in-one foundation with a long-lasting formula that fuses primer, concealer, and foundation in one easy step! The 3-in-1 formula provides a flawless look that lasts all day long.

Price: $8.39 [Target]
Product Amount: 1 fluid ounce
Shade Range: 14 Shades
My Shade: 832 Nude Beige

I picked this up in 832 Nude Beige because the Stay Luminous in 825 Buff Beige was a bit light on me.  I'd say my perfect shade is more like these two mixed together (see more on that below*) but the 832 Nude Beige is fine in summer and just a tad dark in winter {shade comparisons are below as usual}.

The foundation comes in a glass bottle with a pump which is awesome.  It has SPF 20 and is a 3-in-1 formulation that includes primer, concealer, and foundation for an easy one-step application.  I've used this with and without primer and it was fine either way (I used this foundation during my Smashbox/e.l.f. Duel - read about that here).

I used the foundation with a light dusting of the CoverGirl Tru Powder over it which is an awesome powder and a tiny bit of Maybelline Fit Me Concealer under my eyes.  It did a great job covering any redness and slight acne scarring but felt super heavy on my skin.

Wear Test: After about 7 hours it was oily and breaking down a bit around my nose, but nothing else wore off.  It just looked a bit cakey for my liking, felt heavy and looked it as well.  It looked okay from a distance, but the closer you look, the more dry, powdery, and cakey it looked.  If you have a lot to cover up, this may be better for you, but if you're looking for a more natural look, this isn't it.  The color also oxidized a bit, not to super orange, but definitely darker than when first applied.

Overall, I prefer the Revlon Colorstay as a full coverage drugstore foundation over this one any day (see my review here) and will stick with the Colorstay over this because it doesn't feel or look as heavy.  If I had to pick one between the Stay Luminous and Stay Fabulous, I almost preferred the Stay Luminous, which I never would've guess since I'm more combo to oily skinned.  This one simply didn't live up to the hype for me.

*I decided to try and mix the Stay Lumious and Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 to see what the results would be.  I mixed the 832 Nude Beige and 825 Buff Beige equally, and stippled it on with the Real Techniques Stippling Brush.  The color was on the light (and more pink) side when I first applied it, but definitely oxidized almost a full shade darker.  832 is definitely more yellow and 825 is more pink (I'm neutral leaning more yellow).  The finish was slightly dewy, but not too shiny or matte either.  Up close, you can definitely see the shimer/glitter from the Stay Luminous, which I didn't notice at first but I didn't love that aspect but you don't see it unless you're super close.  If I were wearing these foundations again, I'd definitely mix them together, or just wear the Stay Luminous alone in winter.

I used to wear the CoverGirl Clean makeup when I first started wearing makeup and loved it.  Maybe a 'Blast from the Past' makeup post/review is in order :)

A note on colors too: I'm pretty sure I was one of these colors in the Clean Collection (I believe 825 Buff Beige) so I'm not sure why neither matched me in this line, however, I read this happened to others too.
