Baby Beauty Freckled | Favorite Baby Bath Items

{This post includes affiliate links.  Affiliate links are where I make a portion of sales from links used, which helps keep Beauty Freckled going.  Thanks for your support!}

I loved watching baby videos on YouTube before our little one arrived.  'What's in my diaper bag' videos, in particular, were favorites.  Beauty videos came to my awareness because a beauty blogger had filmed a 'what's in my diaper bag' video and I happened to stumble upon her beauty channel as well.  Doing my own diaper bag post is on my list, so I will eventually post a review of our bag and what we carry with us daily.  For now though, here are our favorite items for baby girl's bath time!

Johnson's Head-to-Toe Wash
This Head-to-Toe Wash is for those first baths where you don't want to deal with separate baby wash and shampoo - just keep this close by and you'll be good to go.  It creates a great lather and doesn't have a super strong scent.  They make a version with the pump top which is easy to use and reach while bathing baby.

Johnson's Baby Shampoo with Lavender
The lavender scent smells so amazing we use this any time of day, not just at night. (Beauty Freckled Beauty Tip: this is also great for cleaning makeup brushes!)

Johnson's Baby Bedtime Bath
The Bedtime Bath smells just as amazing as the shampoo - it really sets the mood for bedtime and winds Baby Beauty Freckled down.

Johnson's No More Tangles Leave-In Conditioner
Less than a dime-sized amount helps to tame those darn baby hair tangles without having to rinse it out and add another step.

Aveeno Baby Soothing Relief Creamy Wash (not pictured)
This baby wash is so so creamy, just as the name suggests.  This wash is great for winter, or just that gentle baby skin in general.  It's super hydrating and doesn't strip baby's gentle skin.

Burt's Bees Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash
This is a super gentle bath wash and shampoo combo (I love the dual use) that has a super mild honey scent.  It lathers nicely in the hands or on a washcloth and is so gentle on baby's skin.

The Honest Company Honest Bubble Bath
A few capfuls under running water creates great bubbles to play with without being overwhelming.  It also smells awesome with their signature Sweet Orange Vanilla scent.

The Honest Company Conditioning Detangler
Great spray conditioner that's a bit lighter than leave-in versions.  It has the same great Sweet Orange Vanilla scent as the bubble bath and other Honest products..

Disney Baby Pooh Washcloths
Baby loves to point out her favorite characters and these have held up wonderfully over the past two years.

Primo EuroBath Tub (not pictured)
We've used this tub for our Baby Beauty since day one, and it's always worked out well.  I was worried it would be too big when she was so small, but the side that cradles baby is just perfect.  When she is leaned back, we can rinse her head off without getting the shampoo in her eyes.  With Baby Beauty being two we still are getting great use out of this tub since she loves the comfort of being cradled in it, plus it doesn't waste a whole tub full of water for one wee lass!

I am going to continue these Baby Beauty Freckled segments with lotions, diapers, feeding, diaper bags, etc.  Just as with adults, all babies have different skin, likes/dislikes, preferences, so different items may work differently for your wee little beauty!  These are just ones we tend to use the most and like around our house!  Let me know what other items you would like to see and what baby products you and your wee ones love!

Zutano Baby Acessories for Summer and Winter

Zutano is a great company for your baby and toddler outfits and Acessories.  We were first introduced to them when we received a pair of Zutano Baby Cozie Booties from a friend upon the arrival of Baby BeautyFreckled.  They were the most amazing booties ever.  So amazing that when she grew out of them we immediately ordered a second pair in a bigger size.  They were the only thing that stayed on her little tootsies and since she's an October baby - we needed to make sure those tootsies stayed warm!  The two button snaps really keep them secure.  It also assures a great fit as they grow into them as well.

Zutano Cozie Booties

If we ever have baby number two, I'll be getting the matching Cozie Hat.  I am already scoping out their toddler section and their Cozie Fleeces and mittens for fall and spring!

When it comes to summer, we all want to make sure baby's sensitive skin is protected, right?  I originally had a floppy sun hat with SPF in it, but the brim was so huge that Baby Beauty didn't love wearing it.  She lets us put a GAP baseball cap (from the baby GAP outlet) on her last summer so we figured that was better than nothing.

Enter the Zutano Baby Sun Hats.  The colors I got were: Orchid, Rainbow Candy Stripe, and Flower Shower.  They're all 100% cotton and super soft (much softer than the hat with SPF we previously had).

Zutano Sun Hats

These washed so well and really held up.  Baby Beauty wore the Rainbow Candy Stripe hat in her baby pool for hours this Saturday and even let me tie it around her chin.  She loved the hat and kept it on for hours.  It protected her face and shoulders but didn't get in the way at all.

Ever since these hats arrived she has been pulling all of them out of her hat drawer and putting them on herself and parading around while playing in her room.  I guess this means they're baby tested and approved!

We love both the Sun Hats and Cozie Booties and would recommend them to anyone with babies of any age!  We wish we had these sun hats two years ago for our toddler!

Check out the full line of Zutano products at their website.

Disclaimer: Zutano was kind enough to send me three sun hats for review purposes.  I wasn't otherwise compensated to write this review or paid for a positive review.  All reviews are 100% honest.

Summer Infant 3D lite Convenience Stroller | J.L Childress Cargo N Drinks Parent Tray

When we were planning our recent trip to Disney World in Florida, we knew even though baby Beauty was almost four when we went, all the walking was sure to wear her out.  So then we thought about stroller options.  Renting was out - germaphobe central over here wouldn't love that so much.  Bringing our Baby Jogger City Mini GT or Baby Jogger City Select was also a little scary due to possible theft.

{This post includes affiliate links.  Affiliate links are where I make a portion of sales from links used, which helps keep Beauty Freckled going.  Thanks for your support!}

Solution: An Umbrella Stroller.  Requirements: Nothing over $75, in case it did happen to get stolen, but nothing like a cheap $20 that would give baby girl no support and us backaches from bending over it.

Enter: the Summer Infant 3D lite Convenience Stroller

Stats from Summer Infant's website:
The 3D lite® Convenience Stroller is a durable stroller that has a lightweight and stylish aluminum frame and is one of the lightest and most feature rich convenience strollers on the market. With an easy to fold frame and carry strap, you can be on-the-go or stow and go with ease.

  • Durable, stylish frame (12.0 lbs) with large seat area and 5 point safety harness
  • Anti shock front wheels and lockable rear wheels
  • Multi-position recline
  • Extra large storage basket
  • Adjustable and removable canopy with flip out sun visor
  • Rear storage pocket
  • Easy compact 3-D fold w/ carry strap

  • I ordered the 3D lite in Carribean Blue on Amazon and it came with Prime in two days for only $63 (it's often advertised for $89.99) - so it fit the bill perfectly!

    Summer Infant 3D lite Stroller
The stroller is super sturdy for the price, and our 30-ish pound daughter fits perfectly.  She isn't squished or cramped at all.  Her feet hit the footrest nicely without her knees being up in her face.  The handles are also at a great height for mom and dad (I am only 5' 0") not being super high, but not having to bend over and break our backs either.

Storage is pretty good on the 3d lite considering it's an umbrella stroller and the basket is a nice mesh on all sides.  You can't get into the basket if the seat is all the way reclined, but I don't see that being a problem for us.

Side View - Summer Infant 3D lite
A big bonus here is the carrying strap, which not all umbrella-style strollers have.  Getting on and off buses or Monorails at Disney, the carrying strap was a huge seller for us.  There is also a handle that you pull up as you hit the disengage button on the right (with your foot or hand) to fold it.  That handle came in handy to pick it up quickly and get on the bus with it.

There are four recline positions, but we always kept it upright because baby beauty was too animated and excited in the parks to sleep!

    Summer Infant 3D lite Stroller
The only downside might be the sunshade not being super huge, because we have been spoiled with the size of the sunshades on the Baby Jogger strollers we have.  This shade is still bigger than those on Graco strollers I've seen, or the Jeep stroller we used to have.  There is no peekaboo window to see baby either but that's a non-issue for us.

We tried out the 3D lite several times around our block before we went to Disney and baby Beauty loved it!  By the time we went to Disney, she knew how to pull the sun shade over her head when it was too bright for her and hopped in and out easily.  Baby Beauty find it's very comfy and we are all very pleased with it.  This was definitely a great choice for the trip.

Summer Infant's customer service is also top notch!  I ended up calling them twice as: the first stroller had two same sides of velcro to attach the sun shade; the second stroller they replaced it with had a dirty sunshade.  They replaced the first stroller completely, and replaced the shade the second time.  No questions, and they even knew who I was the second time.  Awesome service; super-friendly people on the phone.  A+ Summer Infant!

Back of Summer Infant 3D lite - with JL Childress Console
The stroller does come with a removable cup holder on the right side, which you can move down to the child's level as well (but can't fold it with it attached at that level, just at parent height).  We decided to add our J.L. Childress Parent Console we had on our City Select where it wasn't the best fit.  On the 3D lite it's PERFECT.  It's like it was meant to be on an umbrella stroller.  It was perfect for our waters that we brought into the parks, our EPCOT Food and Wine Passport where we could check off which kiosks we had tried, and sunglasses for Baby Beauty.

Back of Summer Infant 3D lite stroller
There is a pocket on the back of the stroller behind our parent console, which is plenty big for keys, cellphone, wallet, etc. if you didn't want to add the console.

Overall, the Summer Infant 3D lite Convenience Stroller is a great fit for us and for any parent travelling, or just wanting a quicker, lighter stroller for errands that doesn't take up the whole darn trunk!

Check out the 3D lite here on Amazon!

    Empties #3 | Products I've Used Up

Time to talk trash again!  Here are the products I have used up since my last empties post, as well as a few products that just needed to get...well...trashed.

    Empties #1
    Empties #2

    {This post includes affiliate links.  Affiliate links are where I make a portion of sales from links used, which helps keep Beauty Freckled going.  Thanks for your support!}

    Makeup:
    Mabelline Ultra Liner - Waterproof, Black {see duel vs. NYC Liner here}
If you read my review you knew my full feelings on this one...I haven't used it since and it just needed to go.  NOT REPURCHASED!

Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm - Grape Vine
This was just terrible.  I know a lot of people love or hate the Babylips line.  I don't mind the medicated Dr Rescue version (but it's only ok).  The regular version dried out my lips even more.  I would put it on before bed and end up with a weird stain around my mouth (that sounds...bad) and cracked lips.  NOT REPURCHASED!

    Hair:
    Dove Coconut & Hydration Shampoo
I love, love, love this shampoo.  I also use the Dove Color Care Shampoo but it's harder to find in my area so I keep this in my shower as well.  Love the light scent, and it gives my hair just the right amount of hydration (I have more oily hair).  ALREADY REPURCHASED!

Aveeno Living Color - Color Preserving Shampoo and Conditioner
I liked this, but it was another one that was getting harder to find.  I kept this in my travel bag and used it a lot when my hair was dyed red to keep the color longer.  Loved the scent but my hair did feel weighed down a bit sometimes.  ON THE FENCE.

    Face:
    Soap and Glory Peaches and Cream Deep Cleansing Milk {full review here}
Ugh, I wanted to love this so much.  I love the scent, but it just didn't do enough for me.  It definitely didn't remove any more makeup than a normal face wash.  However, I do love their Vitamin C cleanser {review here}.  This is the only Soap and Glory product that's been a disappointment so far!  NOT REPURCHASED!

    Bioré Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser
Love this face cleanser.  I love the way it smells, the way it makes my face feel, the pump, everything.  REPURCHASED!

    Avalon Organics Intense Defense Oil-Free Moisturizer {full review here}
I really wished this had worked out.  I wanted a natural moisturizer and thought the Vitamin C would perk my skin up and add some "glow."  No go.  NOT REPURCHASED!

Yes to Tomatoes Clear Skin Detoxifying Charcoal Paper Mask
Yes, this does have a "stinging" sensation as you put it on, but after a minute it settles down to a cooling, menthol like feeling.  Probably best not for sensitive skin, but I liked it and thought the results were nice.  WOULD REPURCHASE!

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes - Hydrating
I love these wipes.  They're nice and thick as well as super saturated with the makeup remover.  I have felt a little sting around my eyes at times, but not enough to stop me from using them.  Definitely better than the Target brand.  Leaves a nice hydrated feeling behind.  WILL DEFINATELY REPURCHASE!

    Body:
    Soap and Glory Hand Food
Love this hand lotion.  Really moisturizes and I love the scent even though I am not a marshmallow fan.  ALREADY REPURCHASED!

    Aveeno Skin Relief Hand Cream
Awesome hand lotion - sinks in quickly and is a super saver for dry, cracked hands.  The bottle lasts forever and it's a good price.  WILL DEFINATELY REPURCHASE!

    Udderly Smooth Hand Cream
My dad had some Udderly Smooth at his house and I loved it.  It almost reminded me of the Aveeno one above, but had like a minty smell and coolness to it.  This was not the same at all.  It was super hard to rub in, and make my hands so weird and hard to wash later (like no soap would get through).  WOULDN'T REPURCHASE!

    Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream
Love Neutrogena, love this!  Sinks in fully, makes hand super smooth and all that weird winter crepeyness gone, baby, gone.  A lifesaver.  ALREADY REPURCHASED!

Bodycology Runaway Heart Exfoliating Sugar Scrub
Great body scrub.  My mother-in-law got this for me at Harmon and I really enjoyed it.  It's just the right amount of scrub, not too harsh, not too little (said Goldilocks to Bear).  I actually liked the scent a lot too - it reminded me of Twilight Woods from Bath and Body Works which is one of my favorite scents from B&BW.  WILL DEFINATELY REPURCHASE!

    Baby Beauty:
Burt's Bees Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash - Calming
I talked about this in a BabyBeauty Favorites post.  We love Burt's Bees and Baby Bee around here, and this is no exception.  Gentle on toddler skin, no harmful chemicals, and the scent is just amazing.  ALREADY REPURCHASED!

Burt's Bees Baby Bee Nourishing Lotion - Calming
Another Baby Bee favorite, and again, the scent is wonderful.  This is super hydrating and not greasy if it gets on little feet and hands.  Baby Beauty now has the pump version and likes to take some out and rub it on her own hands, legs, and belly.  ALREADY REPURCHASED!

Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Lotion - Lavender & Vanilla
This lotion is slightly lighter in texture than the Baby Bee one, but soaks in quickly and leaver her skin super soft.  The scent is super nice as well, and very relaxing.  WILL DEFINATELY REPURCHASE!

What products have you used up recently?  Have you used any of the ones I mentioned above?  What did you think?

    New Releases from Tommee Tippee

As we gear up to go through our second adoption journey, I've been making lists of what we need, what we can reuse, and what we missed out on the first go-around.

One thing I know I will be using again is bottles by Tommee Tippee.  Baby Beauty loved these bottles and I am excited to use them again.  Not only are they super cute, they are easy to hold (both for mom and dad but also for baby), anti-colic, and BPA free.  They also come in cute colors and graphics.

When I saw Tommee Tippee had come out with some new products, I was super excited!  We loved the brand so much with Baby Beauty and are excited to grow with them.

The Ultra Bottles are like the Closer to Nature Bottles, but the nipple is angled and more on the side, rather than in the middle.  They continue to reduce air intake with their valves, and are BPA free for peace of mind.

Ultra Bottle features from Tommee Tippee's site:

  • Revolutionary, offset nipple for a smooth milk flow.
  • Raised dome on nipple allows for a secure seal, reducing air intake and dribbles.
  • Breast-like shape for a natural latch and easy switching between breast and bottle.
  • Unique, ergonomic bottle shape for greater comfort and bottle control.
  • Super-sensitive valve reduces baby's air intake
  • BPA-free for your ultimate reassurance.
  • Our Ultra Bottles are compatible with Ultra Nipples only.

  • The Moda pacifiers are so super cute!  They are updated to be reversible so if baby drops the paci and puts it back in, it won't matter which way they put it back in, unlike some pacis which are direction-specific.  This is great hand coordination for baby to learn and pick up on too.

Moda Pacifier features from Tommee Tippee:

  • Pacifier with a classic shield style but updated with a modern, edgy fashion twist.
  • Reversible pacifier nipple, making it easier for babies to correctly insert the pacifier.
  • All pacifiers are BPA-free for ultimate reassurance.
  • Available in 2 age stages – 0-6m and 6-18m
  • *68% of babies accepted this new style pacifier first time, compared to just 43% for the old style closer to nature design – in an independent product trials conducted by Swift research, February 2013 with 112 UK mothers and babies.

  • I can't wait to try both of these products out with baby #2!  I look forward to seeing what else Tommee Tippee comes out with.  Check out Tommee Tippee products on their site for all your baby needs.  they now have everything from bottle feeding, breast feeding, diapering, feeding including plates and bibs, sippy cups, and more!  They are also available at BuyBuyBaby, Target, and Babies R Us.

What's In My Diaper Bag? | Skip Hop Duo Double | Toddler Edition with Baby Additions

It's time to find out...What's In My Diaper Bag?  The Skip Hop Duo Double edition!  You can find my full review of the bag here but I wanted to show you what I pack for my 2 1/2 year old daughter.  I will also add the things I used to pack for her when she was an infant below.

    {This post includes affiliate links.  Affiliate links are where I make a portion of sales from links used, which helps keep Beauty Freckled going.  Thanks for your support!}

Just a quick rundown: the Duo Double has 16 total pockets.  On the outside there are 3 front pockets, 2 side mesh bottle pockets, 1 changing pad pocket, 1 long skinny pocket next to the changing pad pocket, and 1 mommy pocket.  Inside there are 2 more bottle pockets, 2 large fabric pockets, and 3 mesh pockets with elastic tops.  I'm guessing the last one included is the whole inner pocket between all the others, where I put blankets and the Pronto Changing Station.

Here's how I pack the pockets...

    Exterior:
3 front pockets - baby sunglasses, pen, Babyganics Foaming Hand Sanitizer
2 side mesh bottle pockets - water for mommy, Nalgene with water for BabyBeauty (formerly baby bottles with just water to mix Up & Up Sensitive Formula into - see below)
Changing pad pocket - changing pad and Munchkin Diaper Bag Dispenser
Skinny Pocket - empty, but would be good for a small umbrella
Mommy pocket - Burt's Bees lippie, Trader Joe's mints, gum, Neutrogena Powder Foundation

    Interior:
2 bottle pockets - sometimes the Nalgene for BabyBeauty goes here, otherwise empty
2 fabric pockets - MediBuddy First Aid Kit, Wet Ones Wipes, Up and Up Healing Ointment (Target brand Aquaphor), Boogie Wipes in Fresh Scent (when needed), Table Toppers in Hello Kitty, BooginHead Sippigrip
3 mesh pockets - Pampers Swadders Diapers (Regular or Sensitive),  sample size of Honest Company Healing Balm, Pampers Sensitive Travel Wipes or Seventh Generation Travel Wipes, Itzy Ritzy Travel Happens Wet Bag in Avocado Damask
Center/Bottom - Skip Hop Pronto! Changing Station, coloring book and bag of crayons

I normally keep the mesh pockets strictly diapers wipes, and change of clothes/wet bag.  The fabric pockets are broken into "feeding essentials" and "other essentials" (mostly med stuff, etc.  So you might see me mention I put certain things in the feeding pocket for reference so you can see how I organize or pack this bag so I know where everything is.

    Infant Additions:
    * Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Bottles and Formula Dispensers or Avent Classic Bottles and Formula Dispenser
    * Aden and Anais Swaddle Blanket (rolled up in the bottom next to the Skip Hop Changing Station)
    * Aden and Anais Burpy Bib (feeding pocket)
    * Skip Hop Pacifier Pocket with two Avent Soothie or Regular, Nuk, or Tommee Tippee Pacifiers (pacipod)
*BooginHead PaciGrip Pacifier Holder (feeding pocket)
Oxo Tot On-the-Go Feeding Spoon with Travel Case or Nuk Spoons in Itzy Ritzy Snack Happens Reusable Snack Bag in Urban Jungle Blue (feeding pocket)
    * Happy Baby / Plum Organics / Earth's Best Baby Food Squeeze Pouches (feeding pocket)
    * Baby Mum-Mums (feeding pocket)
    * Extra Set of Clothes in case of accidents (mesh pocket with wet bag)
    * Tommee Tippee Travel Warmer
    * Babyganics Mineral-Based Sunscreen 50+ (other essentials pocket)

All of what is in the bag plus all the infant additions fit perfectly with plenty of room to spare.  It's not a heavy bag when packed normally and doesn't add a lot of additional weight due to the heavy duty fabric or anything like that.  It's advertised for twins, multiples, or parents with more than one child.  Being a mommy who likes being prepared for everything and to see everything inside without having to move items to get at anything else this was a great option for me.  It's a great bag for one child on up!

Check out the Skip Hop Duo Double on Amazon for a great price on this bag.

I fully recommend all the products I have listed and linked here, as they have been tested, tried, and true for us and our family.  Every family and baby is different, but these have always been great winners for us and for BabyBeauty.

Please let me know in the comments what products are baby bag/diaper bag essentials for you and your littles!

Diaper Bag Review | Skip Hop Duo Double

    {This post includes affiliate links.  Affiliate links are where I make a portion of sales from links used, which helps keep Beauty Freckled going.  Thanks for your support!}

I loved watching "What's In My Diaper Bag" videos on YouTube before Baby BeautyFreckled arrived, so I knew I would have to review my own diaper bag one day.  I will follow this up with a "What's in My Diaper Bag" post.  So here we go with the review of the Skip Hop Duo Double...

Skip Hop DUO DOUBLE Hold-It-All Diaper Bag, Onyx Tile
    Specs from Skip Hop:
  • Attaches to any double (side-by-side) stroller with patented Shuttle Clips— leave the shoulder strap attached or remove it for a cleaner look
  • Wear with messenger strap or as a tote
  • Magnetic closures throughout; main compartment zips shut
  • Cushioned changing pad
  • Extraordinarily durable poly-canvas construction— this bag will last for years
  • 16 pockets include a zippered personal pocket and two side mesh pockets for bottles or sippy cups
  • Convenient cell phone pocket & easy-access pen holders
  • Contrasting lining makes it easy to find everything inside
  • Note: Not for use on single strollers
  • Size (inches): 19l x 4.25w x 13h

  • This diaper bag is classified as a bag for twins.  I currently have a 2 1/2 year old girl (Baby BeautyFreckled) and have used this diaper bag since she was pretty much a newborn for just her and loved it.  Starting out with the Skip Hop Via Messenger in Black, I liked the bag, but found it too small and ended up using it just for doctor visits where I just needed diapers, wipes, and a blanket.  After seeing the Duo Double, turns out I loved the size for just one child.  I liked having enough room for whatever I need, being able to see it all easily, and not having everything just jammed in there.

Skip Hop Duo Double in Onyx Tile

Skip Hop Duo Double in Onyx Tile

Outside there are three fabric pockets, two bottle pockets, and one large fabric pocket with the changing pad inside.  Inside there are three mesh pockets, two bottle pockets, and two fabric pockets.  The whole inner bag zips up and there is a mommy pocket next to the main zipper so you don't have to undo the whole bag to get to your wallet, keys, or phone.  Included are also a full strap as well as smaller straps for hand carrying which both come in handy.  The Shuttle Clips are easy to snap on and off the strollers we use.  I would never want a bag without stroller clips again!

    Side Pockets and Messenger Strap

Two Back Pockets - One with Changing Pad

The note above says it's not for use on single strollers, however, we used it on our Britax B-Agile and our Baby Jogger City Select and we've never had an issue.  Just use it at your own risk, because if you had a lot in there and on a smaller stroller like the B-Agile I could see how it could tip it over.

Above View of Skip Hop Duo Double

Above View of Skip Hop Duo Double Inside

The inside of the bag has three mesh pockets on one side, two fabric pockets on the opposite side, and two bottle pockets on each inner end.  The big 'pocket' in between all these is considered the last pocket in the count, I believe.  I love carrying the Skip Hop Changing Station in that middle compartment, and it fits perfectly with room to put a rolled Aden + Anais blanket and extra clothes as well.  The Changing station is great because it's bigger than just the changing pad that comes with the bag and you can shove diapers and wipes in it in case you need to grab just those items to change baby.

Even with all we have in the bottom, the Duo Double doesn't look bulky or get too heavy.  We also paired our bag with the Pacifier Pocket (not shown), which easily attached to a strap for easy access.

Overall, Skip Hop nailed it with this bag.  I wish they wouldn't market it as for twins, because I think it might scare some people off.  If you like to carry enough to cover your toush (and baby's toush too!) then this bag is the perfect size.  I don't carry a purse at all when I carry this bag and it's been super perfect for us and will easily grow if we end up with Baby Beauty #2 in the future!

    Skip Hop Duo Double Front

    Check out the Skip Hop Duo Double on Amazon or at BuyBuyBaby, where I purchased mine.  {BuyBuyBaby is the best baby store in my opinion, but more on that another time ;) }

I will follow up with a full "What's In My Diaper Bag" post soon showing you all exactly what I carry and how I organize the bag and what's in it!

    Empties #2 | Products I've Used Up

Welcome to my second batch of trash, er, empties!  To read about my first batch of empty products, see my post with Empties #1 here.

    {This post includes affiliate links.  Affiliate links are where I make a portion of sales from links used, which helps keep Beauty Freckled going.  Thanks for your support!}

    Empties #2

    Hair
    Pantene Color Preserve Volume Shampoo
I've used this before, and I don't know if the formula changed, but I liked it better the first time.  There are other shampoos I like better, but nothing wrong here.  Would Probably Repurchase.

Herbal Essences Color Me Happy Shampoo and Conditioner
I've bought these a few times now, and they're a good value and do their job.  Nothing life changing, not my favorite, but definitely a good duo.  Would Repurchase.

L'Oréal EverPure Moisture Deep Restorative Masque
This was a decent hair mask. It didn't weight my hair down terribly, but made it very sleek and silky.  My main issue is the smell - it's just not for me.  I love the EverPure styling line, but didn't like the shampoo and conditioner.  I didn't finish this one, just because I've found other things I like better.  It's a decent product, just not anything to write home about for me.  Probably Wouldn't Repurchase.

OGX Renewing Argan Oil of Morocco Conditioner
This is just a small travel size from the travel section of Harmon in BB&B because I wanted to try it out.  I love, love, love the smell but it's a tad heavy for my hair.  I think if you have dry or curly hair this would be better.  Wouldn't Repurchase.

    Face
Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector - Medium/Deep
I've had this BB cream for over a year now and haven't used it up.  I just don't reach for it because it's very greasy and almost an orange color when on.  When I got it they didn't have the version for oily/acne prone skin so maybe that version would be better for me.  I used it for the beach when I wanted a little something to blur my imperfections with a light SPF as well.  Hoping to find a good BB cream for my normal to oily skin type that works for me.  Wouldn't repurchase (not this version).

    Neutrogena Pore Refining Daily Cleanser
I am a huge Neutrogena fan, so I've repurchased this cleanser a few times, and I really like it a lot.  It cleans my skin fantastically without over drying it.  Would Repurchase.

Target Up & Up Exfoliating Cotton Rounds - 100 Count
These are great for applying toner or for removing nailpolish or the thousand other uses one can find for a cotton round.  I love that they have the extra little nubbie exfoilaters on one side, but if that bothers your skin, the other side is a normal cotton pad.  Already Repurchased.  [Note: They've since updated the packaging.]

    Makeup
Ardell Fashion Lashes in Natural 109
I don't wear falsies a whole lot, but I've been wearing them for events like weddings lately and Ardell Lashes are my tried and true falsies.  I usually wear the 110's, so not sure if I grabbed the wrong pair here, but the 109's worked well, but I prefer the shape of the 110's slightly more.  Great lashes for everyday, or events.  Great for photography.  Already Repurchased [in 110].

Maybelline Voulum' Express The Falsies Flared Mascara Waterproof - Very Black
Maybelline's original The Falsies is a cult classic, and I love this version just as much (I own both in black/waterproof).  The only real difference is the brush as far as I can tell, but both give great length and volume.  Volume is more of an issue for me than length, so this is a great option for me.  Already Repurchased.

    Body/Skin
eos Ultra Moisturizing Shave Cream - Lavender Jasmine
I've used this a few times now, and am always left a bit disappointed.  It's very thin and doesn't lather up at all (and I love a good lather so I can see where I've shaved).  It does get the job done, but there are others that I like a lot more.  I thought the smell would be nicer too - the vanilla version was better in that respect.  Wouldn't Repurchase.

    Nails
    None this time

    BabyBeauty
    Johnson's Baby Shampoo - Calming
I use the Burt's Bees wash on BabyBeauty, but I still love the smell of the Baby Bedtime line from Johnson's, so we just use the shampoo.  Already repurchased.

    Johnson's Baby Bedtime Bath
I didn't realize this was just a bubble bath at first, I thought this was a wash.  I am working my way through the Honest Bubble Bath now before I try another.  Bubble baths aren't a necessity for us.  Probably Wouldn't Repurchase.

    Johnson's Baby Bedtime Lotion
I am trying to switch BabyBeauty to more natural products, but I just love, love, love the smell of this one, so I keep coming back to it.  Would Repurchase.

Aveeno Baby Calming Comfort Lotion in Lavender & Vanilla
This is an amazingly hydrating lotion, and the smell is so comforting for night time.  It reminds me of the Baby Bedtime lotion above.  Already Repurchased.

Burt's Bees Baby Bee Shampoo & Wash
I love this wash for Little Miss Beauty and we use it every bath.  It's not drying and is a natural body wash and shampoo.  We got the bigger version with the pump in the calming scent now and will continue to use it.  Already Repurchased.

    Empties #1 | Products I've Used Up

Welcome to the first edition of my Empties | Products I've Used Up series.  We all know how hard it is to use products up when we constantly are trying new things.  I've been throwing my empties in an old Sephora box under my vanity for a while now to gather some of mine for an empties post.  Below you'll find some quickie reviews and if I would repurchase them as well.

Hair, Face, Body, Nails, Baby Empties #1

    Hair
Pantene Nature Fusion with Avocado Oil Shampoo
This is a great smoothing shampoo that doesn't weigh your hair down.  This has been a go-to shampoo for me for a few years now.  Would Repurchase.

    Dove Color Care Shampoo
This is my 'Holy Grail' shampoo, especially for color treated hair.  It really gets your hair squeaky clean without leaving it stripped.  Other color care shampoos left my hair feeling not as clean, so I've stuck with this one.  It smells great too.  Already Repurchased.

    Dove Pure Care Oil Shampoo
This one was just too much oil for me; it would probably be better for dryer hair (I have normal to oily).  Would Not Repurchase.

Clear Scalp and Hair Damage & Color Repair Shampoo and Conditioner
This shampoo and conditioner was good.  Nothing super for me, but an ok daily shampoo.  I don't think it gets my hair as clean as the Dove Color Care, but I'd probably give it another shot.  Would Probably Repurchase.

    Aussie Moist 3 Minute Miracle
I used to hate conditioner because I thought it would weigh my hair down and make it more oily until my stylist told me just to use it on the ends to keep them healthy since that's the oldest part of your hair.  This version was the only one out when I got it, but now they have a whole line including one for color treated hair.  It's a great deep conditioner that doesn't make my hair heavy or greasy, just leaves it smooth and shiny.  Smells great too.  Already Repurchased.

    John Frieda Step 3 Conditioner
This is the conditioner that comes with my hair color {see full review here} and also comes separately now.  There is definitely enough for more than a months worth of treatments in these (for medium length hair), and they smell great.  They are a great way to lock in hair color during the month.  Already Repurchased.

    Face
    Neutrogena Pore Refining Daily Cleanser
I use this as my daily cleanser and still love it.  Leaves my skin clean without over drying or feeling tight.  Already Repurchased.

    Neutrogena Pore Refining Exfoliating Cleanser
I used to use this as my daily cleanser, but use the Daily Cleanser version (above) every day now.  I don't think I needed the exfoliation daily, especially in the drier winter months but I would go back if I got more oily in summer {see my full review here}.  This probably isn't for normal to sensitive skin.  Would Repurchase.

    Body/Skin
    Aveeno Positively Smooth Shave Gel
Love this stuff - 'Holy Grail' shave gel {see my full review here}.  Lasts a long time, great foaming lather, leaves legs super moisturized, and gives a great close shave.  Already Repurchased.

Up & Up Smoothing Shave Gel with Soy
A great dupe for the Aveeno shave gel above {see my full review/comparison here}.  I go back and forth between the two and the EOS shave gel (I prefer these two though).  Would Repurchase.

Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer - Firming
A great daily firming lotion that moisturizes while leaving behind a gradual tan color.  It never comes out too dark at once or too orange, just makes your skin a bit dark each day you use it.  Would Repurchase.

Banana Boat Summer Color Self-Tanning Lotion - Deep Dark Color
This product worked was good, but I found a self-tanner I like better for now (Tanwise Dark Bronzing Sunless Mousse).  I would mix this with a regular lotion or use it on it's own, and I liked that it was a one-and-done rather than having to build it up if you were in a rush.  Wouldn't Repurchase - for now.

Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy Sleep Body Lotion - Lavender Chamomile
Smells amazing.  I have the matching pillow mist and I love the scent to help me settle down for sleep at night.  Would Repurchase.

    Nails
Sally Hansen Double Duty Strengthening Base & Top Coat
Great base and top coat. I use it mostly as a base now, but occasionally as a second top coat with the Sally Hansen Insta-Dry or Out the Door top coats.  Already Repurchased.

    Baby
Johnson's No More Tangles Leave-In Conditioner
One of our favorites for Baby Beauty's bath time {see full Baby Beauty Bath post here}.  Leaves her hair tangle-free and is super easy to use.  This lasts quite a long time as you only need a pea to dime sized amount.  Would Repurchase.

I hope you enjoyed my first empties post.  Let me know below which products you've used up recently or which products always end up in your empties pile the most.
